I'm Achilleas Raptis and I'm currently working as a Partner Technology Strategist at Microsoft. I graduated from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens with the relevant degree. I also hold a PhD Candidate position at the Forecasting & Strategy Unit (NTUA) with research interests around big data analysis, time series forecasting, and business forecasting information systems.

Even if my baby business steps were irrelevant to my career path, during the last years, I tend to be a Cloud Enthusiast and I have been involved in numerous cloud projects for end-customers in multiple sectors primarily as a Solution Architect and Functional Consultant.

One of my "hobbies" is to study for Microsoft certifications and collect badges!

While talking with IT professionals, I noticed that an issue of great importance for their work is the lack of knowledge for cloud products especially when they are working for small companies without a dedicated IT department. The root of this problem lies in the fact that most IT companies aim at undertaking big migration & transformation projects and they neglect smaller customers. To face this issue, I decided to start this blog so to present cloud products & solutions that match the needs of smaller companies (SMBs) in order to make their “cloud” baby steps.
